Aretum is on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented FOIA Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be essential in facilitating the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) process, ensuring compliance and efficiency while maintaining transparency in government operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and process FOIA requests while ensuring adherence to established policies and timelines.
- Conduct comprehensive searches for responsive documents across various data sources.
- Analyze documents to apply appropriate exemptions for sensitive information.
- Draft clear and concise responses to requestors, ensuring legal accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with internal departments to facilitate information gathering and expedite the processing of requests.
- Maintain accurate records of all FOIA-related activities and submissions.
- Provide guidance and support to requestors regarding the FOIA process and requirements.
- Stay informed of legislative changes and best practices related to FOIA compliance.
Requirements
- Requires a JD (Juris Doctor)
- Minimum of two years of experience in FOIA analysis or related fields.
- Strong understanding of the Freedom of Information Act and its implications.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with FOIA processing software.
