For one of our clients, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer, remotely from the United States.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing best practices to create, deploy, monitor, and maintain production infrastructures for our clients. Operating at a large scale with cutting-edge cloud computing technologies, you'll work on mission-critical projects that significantly impact our customers' success. Accountabilities:

• Develop automation tools to ensure rapid and seamless resource provisioning for internal and external customers, enhancing team efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs.
• Strive to maintain at least 99.9% uptime across all managed customer environments.
• Lead major projects, including infrastructure automation, monitoring and alerting enhancements, and tooling development for team and company use.
• Take ownership of cloud-first initiatives, ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new customers.
• Work effectively with international development teams to deliver cohesive solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional DevOps experience in a PaaS or SaaS environment.
• Proficiency in containerization and container orchestration, with at least 1 year of Kubernetes experience.
• Experience operating JVM-based applications at scale, including garbage collection analysis and heap tuning.
• Expertise in managing large-scale distributed systems, maintaining hundreds to thousands of instances across multiple cloud environments.
• Willingness to serve as the first line of defense for customers as part of an on-call rotation.
• Familiarity with developing SaaS infrastructure and deployment models.
• Ability to pass a background check.
