For one of our clients, we are looking for a Head of Global Sales Engineering, working remotely from the US or EMEA.

As the Head of Global Sales Engineering, you will lead a team of sales engineers, driving strategic initiatives to support business growth and revenue expansion. This role requires a combination of leadership, technical expertise, and customer engagement to align sales engineering efforts with company objectives. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales engineering strategies, overseeing product demonstrations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to influence the product roadmap. Your ability to communicate technical solutions effectively and build strong relationships with customers will be key to long-term success.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing global sales engineering team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
  • Develop and implement sales engineering strategies to drive revenue and support business objectives.
  • Work closely with sales teams to identify customer needs, qualify opportunities, and demonstrate product capabilities.
  • Oversee the creation and delivery of compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing technical expertise and insights to customers throughout the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Product Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Success, to align customer feedback with product development.
  • Execute Business Value Assessments (BVA) and ROI calculations to highlight the value of solutions to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction and long-term engagement.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in sales engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in enterprise technology or SaaS.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, leading by example.
  • Strong sales-driven mindset, with a track record of improving close rates and increasing deal sizes.
  • Technical expertise in AI, computer vision, and cloud technologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong customer-first approach, with a deep understanding of customer needs and business value.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and inspire a global team of sales engineers.
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience influencing internal teams and driving alignment.
  • Willingness to travel 10-25% as needed.
