Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Software Engineer with a proven track record in building robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with expertise in modern web technologies, including Next.js, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS cloud infrastructure. Experience building Shopify applications is a plus. This role requires both backend and frontend development capabilities to deliver end-to-end solutions.

As a Fierce software engineer, you will collaborate with our cross-functional team to design, develop, and deploy innovative web applications that meet our business needs. The role offers a dynamic and flexible work environment where you will take ownership of projects and have a significant impact.

Responsibilities:

• Implement responsive and performant user interfaces as per communicated design.
• Translate design specification into functional services.
• Communicate with other team members to establish effective interfaces and data specifications to support native clients
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to address and mitigate these problems
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

Requirements

Required:

• Experience designing RESTful APIs and server-side logic using Node.js and Typescript.
• Excellent knowledge of Next.JS and React for building modern web applications.
• Experience efficiency and reliability with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
• Experience implementing authentication, authorization, and other security best practices.

• Experience with PostgreSQL, including complex query design and optimization.

• Experience deploying and maintaining scalable container-oriented applications on AWS, leveraging services like ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployments.
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting production systems to ensure uptime and performance.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Asana, Jira or Trello.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.

• 3+ years of professional experience in full stack development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working familiarity with GraphQL
• Experience with Python application development
• Experience with LangChain or similar AI frameworks
• Experience with design and implementation of Shopify applications and integrations.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.

• Bonus: Knowledge of and experience in digital fashion and e-commerce.
• Prior experience working in a contract or freelance capacity is a plus.
