POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the high-quality standards of our products. This position involves monitoring production processes, conducting inspections, and implementing quality control measures to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform regular inspections of materials, products, and processes during manufacturing.
  • Document quality issues and work with the production team to resolve them effectively.
  • Conduct tests and evaluations of products to ensure they meet specified requirements.
  • Review and maintain quality assurance documentation and reports.
  • Implement and support corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformities.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of quality assurance procedures.
  • Participate in internal audits and inspections.
  • Provide training and support to production staff on quality standards and procedures.
  • Stay current on industry standards and best practices in quality assurance.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Technical diploma or degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with fibre-reinforced plastics (FRP) is an asset.
