Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial/Industrial Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing various commercial and industrial surfaces, including but not limited to buildings, machinery, equipment, and other structures. This position requires knowledge of painting techniques, safety regulations, and the ability to work efficiently in diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
• Apply paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces such as metal, wood, concrete, and masonry.
• Use a variety of painting tools and equipment, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other industrial-grade equipment.
• Mix and match paint colors, ensuring correct consistency and application.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures while working in potentially hazardous environments, including the proper handling of chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Conduct quality inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to safety standards and customer specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and disposed of.
• Work in compliance with OSHA and other local regulations.
• Perform minor maintenance on painting equipment and tools as needed.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial and/or industrial painting.
• Knowledge of industrial coatings, finishes, and preparation techniques.
• Familiarity with working in industrial environments such as factories, warehouses, or construction sites.
• Ability to read and follow safety guidelines.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working at heights (e.g., ladders, scaffolding).
• Willingness to wear protective equipment (e.g., respirators, safety glasses, gloves) as required.
