Associate Attorney - Labor and Employment

Novel is working with boutique injury and employment law firm located in Sherman Oaks CA.  They are seeking a labor and employment attorney with 2+ years litigation experience. Experience with individual and class/PAGA wage and hour litigation preferred but not required.

Hybrid to start/fully remote workplace.

Job responsibilities include:

·       Handling cases from inception to settlement/verdict.

·       Reviewing and analyzing personnel files and wage statements.

·       Drafting complaints/arbitration demands.

·       Propounding and responding to written discovery.

·       Meeting and conferring on discovery.

·       Drafting motions and oppositions.

·       Defending and taking depositions.

·       Attending court hearings.

·       Preparing trial documents.

Requirements

·       Labor and Employment Litigation: 2 years (Required)

·       License/Certification: California Bar License (Required)
