Are you an experienced leader in hospital case management? Are you ready to take on a key role that drives operational excellence, fosters team development, and enhances patient care? We are seeking a passionate Group Director of Case Management to join our client’s leadership team and lead the execution of their strategic case management initiatives across multiple hospitals.

About the Role: The Group Director of Case Management will play an essential role in managing hospital utilization, transition processes, and case management operations across a network of hospitals. This is a highly strategic and hands-on leadership position, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, optimizing resource utilization, and improving patient throughput. The Group Director will mentor and guide hospital directors, proactively lead operational improvements, and create a collaborative, data-driven environment to achieve measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support Group Hospital Directors of Case Management, ensuring optimal Level of Care, Length of Stay, and Payer Authorizations.
  • Align case management objectives with the overall strategic goals of the organization.
  • Oversee cost-effective, clinically sound care delivery across hospital case management and utilization review operations.
  • Play an active role in the selection, orientation, and mentorship of new Hospital Directors of Case Management.
  • Use data to guide decision-making and continuously improve department performance.
  • Foster a culture of communication, collaboration, and leadership development across teams.
  • Lead the implementation and oversight of case management policies and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, including Length of Stay, Authorizations, and Downgrades.
  • Proactively address operational issues to ensure optimal patient throughput and reimbursement.
  • Guide physicians with targeted education on utilization and compliance best practices.
  • Ensure a high level of employee engagement and minimize turnover within the department.
  • Uphold the highest standards of patient care and organizational compliance.

  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate diverse teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with business planning and performance improvement strategies.
  • Proficiency in case management software and systems.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Nursing, Social Work, or Healthcare Administration.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree in business, nursing, healthcare administration, health sciences, or related discipline.

Experience:

  • Required: 5+ years of hospital Case Management Leadership experience.
  • Preferred: Experience with acute hospital case management across multiple sites and experience in business planning and project management.

Certifications:

  • Required: Current RN or LCSW/LMSW license.
  • Preferred: Accredited Case Manager (ACM) certification.
