Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Solution Architect – Network & Enterprise Security to define and lead the architectural vision and strategy for enterprise network security at our client site in Washington, D.C. This role requires extensive hands-on experience with Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA, and Network Access Control (NAC), coupled with the ability to provide technical leadership and strategic direction across multiple IT projects.
Requirements
- Develop and implement enterprise network security architectures that ensure scalability, performance, and robust security.
- Lead solution design efforts to align with enterprise architecture principles and business objectives.
- Provide expert hands-on guidance on Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA, and NAC solutions, ensuring best practices in deployment and integration.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to IT leadership, driving security enhancements and network modernization initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance the network security posture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement secure, integrated solutions.
- Create and present architectural artifacts to senior leadership and enterprise architecture review boards.
- Advocate for innovative security approaches and challenge the status quo to enhance security measures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 8–15 years of IT experience, with 5–7 years focused on technology architecture and network security.
- Deep expertise in Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA, and Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.
- Strong understanding of enterprise security frameworks and best practices.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience leading large-scale IT programs and cross-functional teams.
- Preferred: Experience in the transportation industry and familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks.
