Mize CPAs Inc. was recently named a Top 200 Workplace for 2024 by USA Today! We are a leading regional accounting and IT firm with offices in Topeka and Overland Park, Kansas. Our firm works with clients in a number of industries and has a rapidly growing restaurant and hospitality division that serves clients nationwide.
We are looking for an in-person only Office Assistant in the Overland Park office. Part-time morning availability is needed, 20-25 hours per week.
If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have experience welcoming visitors to the Firm and assisting with other administrative tasks as assigned. Must be available between 7:45a and 12:15p Monday through Friday.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Receive and greet visitors
- Schedule appointments
- Answer and route telephone calls and relay messages
- Monitor the firm’s fax and email box and deliver messages to appropriate employees
- Various data entry projects as assigned
- Screen sales representatives
- Sort and distribute general incoming mail for the OP office
- Must be available to work while the office is open to the public, as this position is responsible for opening the office; standard schedule is Monday – Friday, 8a – 12p
- Increased hours may be necessary during busy seasons throughout year
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- In-office work only, due to the work responsibilities
- Individuals at this level normally have a High School diploma
- Available Monday - Friday, from 7:45a - 12:15p
- 1-year office experience or education equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a CPA firm
- Intermediate level knowledge of MS Office Suite, including typing and 10-key proficiency
- Working knowledge of office practices and procedures
- Strong organizational skills
