Team Leadership:

Manage a distributed team of developers and QA professionals, including hiring, onboarding, compensation, and promotions

Lead and mentor the team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence

Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to provide support and feedback

Project Management:

Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring they align with business objectives

Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively

Partner with the product team to refine and deliver the roadmap, ensuring that product owns the “what” and “why” while your team owns the “how”.

Strategic Planning:

Contribute to the development of the technical strategy and roadmap

Align the team’s work with the overall strategic goals of the company

Build business and client context for the team to foster a sense of ownership

Process Improvement:

Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes to enhance efficiency and quality

Implement best practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements

Maintain a high level of technical knowledge, including hands-on coding and code reviews to stay current. Azure Cloud, Java, a few .JS’s, SQL Server etc.

Ensure the team makes sound technology decisions with regard to quality, maintainability, and flexibility

Research, evaluate, and experiment with new technologies

• Governance and Compliance best practices

• SOC 2, and PCI security audit and enforcement

• AI familiarity or shipped projects

• Infrastructure and server cost management (Azure W-AF)
