System Administrator

Ellington Solutions is seeking candidates that will:

• Assist in the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
• Oversee IT system infrastructure and manage associated processes.
• Support IT systems by handling daily operations, monitoring, and resolving issues for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and more.
• Deliver Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) services by identifying, diagnosing, and resolving problems.
• Facilitate escalation processes and communicate status updates to agency management and internal clients.
• Assist with the dispatch system and address hardware issues while remaining engaged in the resolution process.
• Configure and manage both UNIX and Windows operating systems, install/upgrade operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain system integrity, configure network components, and implement enhancements to improve system reliability and performance.
• Enhance system operations and resource usage, while conducting capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide comprehensive analysis and feedback to agency management and internal clients on escalated tickets.
• Maintain and troubleshoot servers operating on CentOS or RHEL using GOTS and FOSS applications.
• Review IAVAs for relevance and draft POAMs as necessary, followed by executing the POAMs.
• Experience with customer tools for documenting and managing security compliance.

Requirements

The qualified candidate will have:

• U.S. Citizenship (Required)
• Active TS/SCI+FSP Clearance (Required)
• Current Security+ certification (Required)
• Ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts that are comparable in scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of relevant SA experience can be considered as a substitute for a bachelor's degree.
• Eligible for PRIVAC
• RedHat Enterprise Linux installation (RHEL): expert level installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security measures required for government systems that handle highly sensitive information.
• Proficiency in tracking, monitoring, and reporting tools for customer-specific security status.
