Full Job Description
The Accounts Payable Representative reports to the Manager Accounts Payable and is responsible accounting for payables according to policies, practices, and procedures.
Role Responsibilities
- Proactive vs. reactive approach to payment of invoices
- Providing timely and accurate information
- Ensuring technology and controls are maximized to ensure accuracy of payments
- Ensuring appropriate standards of financial reporting are being adhered to on an ongoing basis
- Working collaboratively with team and internal Departments
- Responding to requests for information from external partners/vendors and internal Departments
Essential Functions
- Keen attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and think in a logical fashion.
- The ability to speak, read and write in English
- Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of personnel in various positions
Requirements
- 1+ years accounting, finance, or business experience; gained through education and/or experience
- Specific experience in accounts payable preferred
- Superior computer skills required; technology savvy
- Organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and follow directions appropriately
- Must be able to effectively communicate In English
