Farm Site Manager

The Farm Site Manager will oversee the Young Adult Bridge Housing program, managing properties through construction, renovation, and rehabilitation to provide innovative housing solutions. Key responsibilities include obtaining service quotes, conducting safety inspections, and routine land farming and animal care. This contract position extends until June 2026, with potential for permanent full-time employment.

Salary: $75,000 - $80,000

Responsibilities:

Construction Oversight

• Collaborate with all vendors to ensure Bridge Housing Phase I & Phase II are operational with Certificate of Occupancy by June 2026 and within grant specifications, regulations, timelines, and budget.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, address any arising issues, and ensure the property complies with all safety and environmental regulations.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the construction team and organizational leadership.
• Communicate regularly with Project Director on site needs, challenges, and successes.

Property Maintenance

• Perform regular inspections to identify and resolve maintenance needs, including small repairs to buildings, equipment, and infrastructure; maintaining up-to-date documentation of inspections, repairs, and farming activities.
• Oversee the upkeep of the farm, including landscaping, fencing, and general property cleanliness.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling programs on the property.

Farming & Animal Care

• Maintain and support farming operations, including planting, harvesting, and caring for crops.
• Create opportunities for residents to learn about property maintenance, farming, and animal care.
• Oversee the care of animals on the property, ensuring their health and well-being.
• Develop and implement sustainable farming practices in line with the program’s goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field OR
• 4 years of equivalent grant writing experience may be substituted for education.
• Experience in construction, project coordination, farming, grounds keeping, or property management.

• Basic knowledge of small repairs and maintenance such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.

• Familiarity with animal care and sustainable farming practices.
