We're hiring an Acquisition, Production and Development Assistant
About the job:
As the Assistant to the ADP team, you'll be a vital component in driving the daily operations surrounding acquisitions, production, and development. To thrive in this position, you’ll need excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to ensure a smooth workflow and successful execution of departmental projects.
While immediate advancement opportunities within the ADP Department may be limited, this position offers invaluable experience and is essential to the department's everyday functions. You will report directly to the President of Acquisitions, Development, and Production.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Schedule and prioritize internal/external meetings for the department.
- Maintain meeting agendas and coordinate meeting notes, and follow-ups with key stakeholders
- Set internal acquisitions screenings and rough cut screenings.
- RSVP and send appointments for buyer screenings.
- Coordinate and manage staff screenings for newly acquired NEON films.
- Draft and send external housekeeping emails for new acquisitions.
- Organize and send external screeners and scripts to industry professionals, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery for promotional and review purposes.
- Registration, housing, travel, tickets and on-the-ground support for festivals and markets.
- Regular AirTable data entry/maintenance, along with other key internal departmental documents.
- Maintain NEON’s Cinando profile and any other software/subscriptions.
- Weekly trade reports.
- Organize departmental retreats.
- Manage departmental invoices and process and submit expense reports.

Compensation:
Our target pay range for this role is $65,000. Actual base pay may vary within the range based on various considerations, including: work experience, necessary skill levels, specializations, training, budgetary limitations, and prevailing local market conditions. Similarly named positions may have different compensation levels. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, competitive healthcare, as well as other employee benefits.
Our Hybrid Work Model:
This job is located in our New York City office. We spend three days a week working from the office. These intentional in-person days allow us to embrace the benefits of collaboration fully. The remaining days of the week are yours to decide where to work, allowing for a seamless blend of work and personal life.

Requirements
About you:
- A passion for independent film and storytelling.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A self starter with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in script reading and coverage is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and resourceful with a knack for problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with film-related databases and tools (e.g., IMDbPro, Cinando, AirTable).
- A collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for working in a creative, dynamic environment.
- Team-oriented and able to collaborate across departments.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in script reading and coverage is a plus.
