Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our IT department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation aimed at improving communication with non-technical employees. This role involves crafting various types of content, including how-to guides, instructional documents, and internal communications, to enhance employee understanding of IT processes and tools.

Requirements

  • Write and maintain instructional documents, how-to guides, FAQs, and email announcements.
  • Create and manage content within the internal knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to gather information and ensure accuracy and relevance of content.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand language for non-technical audiences.
  • Regularly review and update existing documentation to ensure it remains current and effective.
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure specialized topics are accurately and comprehensively covered.
  • Review and edit content developed by other team members to ensure consistency and quality across all documentation.
  • Develop and implement frameworks for organizational knowledge management and content creation.
  • Utilize content management systems to organize and publish documentation effectively.

Qualifications:

  • 5-15 years of proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably within an IT department or focusing on internal communications.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical information in an accessible manner.
  • Experience in creating instructional or educational content for a non-technical audience.
  • Proficiency in documentation tools and content management systems.
  • Strong understanding of technology with the ability to quickly grasp technical concepts.
  • Process-oriented approach with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
