Pricing Analyst/Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

This role will be integral to the future growth of the company.

This position will be leading a key vertical in the financial management of the company. Responsibilities will include projects\bids costing and pricing, cost analysis and cost controls. The Pricing Analyst/Manager will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including financial presentations, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities and other projects requested by management. This function acts as the analytical/economic engine of the company to provide "optimal" business decision making. The position reports to the Group Director of FP&A and will work closely with the Sales & Marketing team and Operations team. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create costing and pricing models for the various product lines and key customers. 

• Utilize data analytical skills to query and analyze large amounts of complex data to identify areas of opportunity to improve company profit.
• Develop tools to monitor and report on profitability, cost increases, annual price escalations, and recommendations for future improvements. 
• Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance. 
• Develop financial models and analyses to support sales opportunities and strategic initiatives. 
• BIDs and Contracts review and risk assessments including unusual costs, investments needed and legal wording. 
• Lead the enhancement and compliance of Business Finance processes, standards, and systems. 
• Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports. 
• Post-mortem – Comparing actual performance to the pricing model to validate data accuracy and drive action items for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance or economics  
• 5+ years' experience in similar or progressive role 
• Proven experience working with sales, business development and operations teams
• General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles 
• Advanced Excel skills are critical for success
• Complex financial modeling experience and strong business acumen
• Commercial understanding and proven experience of building cost models
• Ability to successfully interact and present to executive leadership teams
• Experience in Manufacturing is a plus
• Advanced degree (MBA) a plus
• Must possess effective oral and written communication skills 
• Highly organized and ability to prioritize and multi-task
