Front Desk Manager

Bay Point Landing is looking for a dedicated Front Desk Manager to play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth daily operations of our property. As a key team member, you'll be the face of Bay Point Landing, ensuring our guests have exceptional experiences through every interaction, whether over the phone, via email, or in person. This position ensures office procedures are consistently followed, promoting both organization and efficiency.

You will assist the General Manager by stepping in on days off while maintaining the same high standards. In addition to supporting day-to-day operations, you'll be an essential part of training and guiding the Front Desk team, as well as providing support for other departments using our Property Management System (PMS), New Book.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example to uphold and enhance our guest experience standards, ensuring each guest interaction is memorable.
  • Train and assist Front Desk team members, helping them master both daily tasks and the PMS system.
  • Manage guest communications through various channels (text, email, voicemail), ensuring timely and thoughtful responses.
  • Oversee and manage bookings and communications from online travel agencies (OTAs).
  • Monitor social media inquiries and direct messages on Instagram and Facebook, providing prompt assistance.
  • Ensure the booking chart is closely monitored to maximize reservations and site occupancy.
  • Assist in guest communication, providing guidance on concierge services, activities, upgrades, and special requests (e.g., length of stay extensions, add-ons).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the General Store, ensuring it’s stocked and ready for guests. Oversee all inventory (ordering, tracking, updating).
  • Supervise logs for loaned items, lost and found, and other operational records.
  • Handle special requests such as gift vouchers, customized reservations and group and event bookings.
  • Perform all tasks outlined in the Front Desk job description as needed.
  • Provide support in other departments and take on additional responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Must pass background check
  • Must feel confident in performing the responsibilities listed above
  • Strong customer service skills with every guest interaction
  • Strong computer skills, including typing and familiarity with Microsoft Office
