Position Summary
We are growing our team and seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to join our Operations team. This position reports to the Operations Manager.
In this position, the Operations Coordinator is principally responsible for managing the day-to-day aspects of our team’s operations processes.
The Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in process creation and documentation, equipment ordering for new hires, and frontline support for fellow team members. The Operations Coordinator also provides support to the Finance, Contracts & Procurement, and People & Culture teams on cross team processes. This role also partners closely with the Senior Director of IT to manage day-to-day admin tasks in our SaaS platforms.
What You’ll Do
As our Operations Coordinator you will:
Be part of a team of operational excellence
- Service-Oriented Mindset: Address staff and vendor needs on the operations and process fronts.
- Solution-Oriented Approach: Collaborate with the Operations Manager to find answers to scenarios that fall outside the realm of the usual processes.
- Learning-Oriented Attitude: Assist in making sure staff understand key operational processes and what to expect.
Drive day-to-day operational needs
- Order and track tech packages for new staff
- Partner with the People & Culture team to onboard new team members
- Assist with reconciling departmental receipts in expense management platform
- Respond to team member questions and requests for the ops team
- Document new and evolving processes for the team
- Help onboard individuals to new software platforms
- Design ways to automate processes to make them faster and more efficient

The successful candidate demonstrates enthusiasm for making electrification easy, and models excellence and integrity in all they do. The selected candidate will also possess the following Core and Preferred qualifications and characteristics:
Core qualifications:
- Strong commitment to the mission, policies and goals of Rewiring America.
- Two or more years of experience as an operations coordinator, project manager/coordinator, admin assistant, or similar role.
- Collaborative and low ego work style, with the ability to quickly build positive relationships with colleagues.
- A zen mindset, being comfortable with there always being more operations requests to come that will need processing.
- Excellent time management, prioritization skills, and experience managing multiple projects at the same time with a high attention to detail
- Familiarity with financial aspects of Operations, including but not limited to invoicing and expenses.
- Experience with process design, documentation, and rollout
- Facility with technology to support remote team work.
- Excellent references demonstrating a strong track record in inter-team collaboration, creative thinking, and getting stuff done.
Preferred qualifications:
- Familiarity with financial and payroll systems like Bill.com and Rippling.
- Familiarity with work systems like Google ecosystem, Asana, Notion, Adobe, and Dropbox.
- Content knowledge in climate, renewable energy, and/or building electrification.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 USD, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

- Full Time Employees will receive 160 hours of vacation time, 80 hours of health leave, up to 2 days of casual leave, and 24 hours of volunteer leave annually.
- Employees will also receive 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year (13 days during Presidential and Congressional elections).
- We have an office closure between Christmas and New Year.
- Regular, full-time employees and part-time employees are eligible to take up to sixteen weeks of parental leave, in all cases related to birth, adoption, or foster care starting from the first day of employment.
