Full Job Description

Vasion is searching for a Facilities and Safety Manager to lead our efforts in providing a safe, secure, and well-maintained working environment for our employees. This role involves managing facilities and equipment globally, implementing safety and security measures, and leading emergency preparedness initiatives. This is an on-site position at our global headquarters in St. George, Utah as well as remote responsibility for sites in Lehi, Utah, the United Kingdom, and Germany.

What you will do as Facilities Manager (70%):

  • Regularly inspect (either directly or through local assistance) company premises to identify and complete maintenance needs, repairs, and equipment updates or replacements.
  • Respond promptly to emergency repair needs and manage facility requests efficiently.
  • Coordinate scheduled maintenance and ensure timely completion of repairs for global facilities and equipment.
  • Collaborate with external contractors or vendors for repairs and equipment replacement, reviewing service proposals and agreements.
  • Work with upper management to develop maintenance plans and coordinate new project buildouts and other major repairs.
  • Utilize basic hand and power tools for minor repairs and maintenance tasks

What you will do as the Safety Officer (30%):

Monitor and patrol company headquarters and other company locations for security risks, threats, or hazardous conditions, both physically and via surveillance equipment.

Greet and direct visitors, issue temporary visitor IDs, maintain visitor logs, and collaborate with IT to document access records securely.

Conduct proactive risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

Ensure the availability of proper safety equipment and provide training for medical emergencies, accidents, or natural disasters.

Respond to security breaches and emergencies with empathy and professionalism, preparing detailed incident reports.

Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, ambulance, and other emergency services during security and emergency incidents.

Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans and lead company-wide training sessions (e.g., workplace crisis response, evacuation, fire safety).

Collaborate with upper management to develop, review, and implement safety protocols.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience with relevant law enforcement, military, or similar experience. 
  • Proven experience handling sensitive matters confidentially and professionally.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver safety or security training to large groups.
  • Strong project management skills, including using cloud-based security and facility maintenance applications.
  • Hands-on experience in facilities management or construction with the ability and willingness to complete simple maintenance and repairs.
  • Certified in CPR and AED use, with basic first aid knowledge (or willingness to obtain certification).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Skilled at working with cross-functional teams, including senior management, to plan and execute complex projects. 
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications (additional skills beyond the required qualifications above)

  • Certification as a CPR/AED and First Aid Instructor (Red Cross or AHA certification) willing to conduct monthly scheduled employee training sessions.
  • Experience writing and updating Emergency Action Plans for a corporate environment.
  • Completed OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 General Industry training.
  • Certification as an Associate Emergency Manager (AEM) or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), is a plus.
  • Familiarity with technical concepts, including computer systems, networks, cloud security, and general IT infrastructure, is a plus.
